SNICKERIET is a furniture studio rooted in an explorative engagement with traditional woodworking craft and its underlying philosophy. Translating simply to “the wood workshop,” the name is intentionally understated—creating ambiguity around the studio itself while allowing the work to remain at the forefront. This quiet positioning reflects a practice that values material integrity, process, and conceptual clarity over overt authorship. The studio approaches woodworking as both discipline and inquiry, examining time-honored techniques through a contemporary lens. Each investigation is distilled and released as directly as possible in the form of individual furniture pieces, where construction, proportion, and material presence are allowed to speak without excess.
