    Cristian Mohaded

    Cristián Mohaded is an Argentine designer and artist born in the countryside (Catamarca, 1980). He is a graduate of the National University of Córdoba, and today he shares his time between Buenos Aires and Milan.

    As a designer, he has always worked closely with artisans from his home country, exploring traditions, craft and local culture, blurring the line between design and art. Cristián also works internationally as an independent designer in the fields of furniture, lighting, products and installation. From private commissions to industrial companies, he is dedicated to developing
    and designing objects with a strong focus on materiality, artisanal techniques and production processes.

    Throughout his career as a designer, he has also won several design awards and special mentions, and has participated in numerous national and international fairs and exhibitions. His works were selected and incorporated into the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (USA) Also at the Musée Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Likewise, he is already part of the Argentine design legacy of the Foundation –I-D-A (Research in Argentine Design), being one of the young leaders of Latin American design. He was selected to represent his country with the “Monte Abierto” project for the design of the Argentine Pavilion at the London Design Biennial in 2021.

    Recently he presented “Territorio Hibrido” his first individual exhibition at the National Museum of Decorative Art in the city of Buenos Aires, (11.2021 to 03.2022)
