Pia Chevalier is an independent designer and ceramist, trained at Paris’s École Boulle in craftsmanship and design. Working from her atelier in Poush, Aubervilliers, she develops a practice at the intersection of furniture and sculpture, transforming everyday objects into sensitive, singular works. Her creations—ranging from voluptuous tables and monumental totemic structures to octopus-shaped vases and candy-like mirrors—reflect a playful and tactile approach to form. Inspired by the culinary world, Chevalier explores textures and contrasts, combining glossy glazes with matte engobes and generous, rounded volumes that invite touch and interaction. Each piece is hand-shaped with spontaneity and delight, balancing raw materiality with poetic functionality.
