Pieces of bark which become detached from their trunks; nature changes
shape and sheds its skin, leaving traces of this change on the ground.
Marked by time on the outside and polished inside, they reveal the reality
of many things. The Underwood candlestick is made of flame-shaped brass that is beaten by hand. The exterior bears the signs of the transformations it has undergone while the inside is polished like a mirror, revealing its soul.
