Inspired by the shapes of New Zealand’s Moeraki boulders, this hybrid object is the result of experiments about wood and dyes led by designer Marie de Lignerolles and Atelier Sauvage.
A sculpture, a piece of furniture, or instead, a painting? It is hard to define Moeraki. This intriguing room-divider is a 360° object that creates four different dreamlike spaces connected together through a continuous pattern of soft curves and deep hues of color. Each face offers a new point of view that plays with the opposition between opaqueness and transparency, unpredictable designs from wood grain and strict geometrical forms, large areas of immersive colors and small repeated patterns.
