Samuel Costantini (b. 1979) lives and works in Fano, in Italy’s Marche region, where an early immersion in the rural landscape shaped a visual language profoundly informed by nature. Close observation of flowers, stones, water, and terrain instilled a sensitivity to organic form and material transformation that continues to guide his practice.
Following his studies, Costantini joined his family’s workshop specializing in bespoke furniture for the luxury sector. There, he absorbed the rigor of traditional craftsmanship while mastering advanced tools and techniques. Over nearly two decades, collaborations with architects and designers refined his approach, while the work of Carlo Scarpa, Frank Lloyd Wright, and the visionary forms of Antoni Gaudí helped forge a distinctive and coherent aesthetic.
In 2019, Costantini founded Dal Furlo, a studio named in homage to the Gola del Furlo Nature Reserve, a dramatic landscape carved by water and stone that remains a constant source of inspiration. Dal Furlo’s work is defined by an organic design language, expressed through sculptural forms in copper, bronze, and brass. Often reclaimed from scrap, materials are transformed by hand and flame, allowing fire to leave its own unpredictable imprint. Each numbered and signed piece embodies a dialogue between matter, time, and landscape, uniting ancestral technique with contemporary experimentation.
