    5 Picks from PHILIA Collection

Jesse Sanderson (b. 1983) is a Dutch designer and co-owner of WDSTCK, an Amsterdam-based art and design studio. Rooted in a deep respect for nature, his work balances raw, organic elements with clean, structured forms. This interplay of contrasts defines his approach to furniture, objects, and spatial design. Sanderson embraces a philosophy of sober simplicity. His pieces harness the inherent beauty of their materials, preserving natural textures and imperfections rather than refining them away. Each work reflects a deep respect for the passage of time, highlighting the marks left by growth, weathering, and decay. Beyond furniture, Sanderson’s work extends into architectural and landscape design. Through these projects, he continues to explore the relationship between the built environment and the untamed world, crafting spaces that invite stillness, connection, and contemplation.

“The material choice is excellent—pure, bold, and honest. It’s steel but has the feel of an antique mirror, showcasing craftsmanship and an eye for refinement.”

“A wonderful design in which the clean lines of the bronze and the natural forms of the stone complement each other.”

“These are true works of art with a sense of humor, elegantly executed—something every designer would envy, and few can achieve like Dalí.”
“Beautiful lines and an exciting, dynamic form.”

“Well-designed, with great material choices and a fitting, playful title.”
