Laura Pasquino
5 Picks from PHILIA Collection

Laura Pasquino is a ceramic artist based in Amsterdam. Before opening her studio in The Netherlands, she practiced ceramic art in Kyoto, Japan and Lisbon, Portugal.

She has devoted her designs to spherical forms. Her works, which include both functional vessels and sculptures, are inspired by the forces and formations of the natural world. Utilising the versatility of the material, Laura’s work embraces the spontaneity and tactility of each piece. While highlighting their character through earthy colours and textures, her designs seek simplicity and balance above all.

She combines her art for exhibitions and installations with commissioned pieces for architectural spaces, interior design projects as well as selected brands.

“Minimal form with lots of character.”
“Graceful design and perfectly executed composition.”
“I find the bold silhouette of the design and the texture of basalt very beautiful.”

“What appeals to me about this piece is the combination of the freeness of the shape and warm tones of the material.”
