We are delighted to unveil the second edition of the PHILIA x ARC Residency, set against the dreamlike backdrop of Cappadocia, Turkey—a land sculpted by time, where volcanic rock formations, ancient cave dwellings, and subterranean cities speak of millennia of human and natural artistry.
This year, PHILIA invites a new cohort of visionary talents to inhabit this otherworldly landscape. Designers Lucas Tyra Morten, Michael Gittings, Alice Lahana, and Marie Jeunet will embark on a creative odyssey, immersing themselves in the raw poetics of central Anatolia.
Working closely with local artisans and native materials, the designers will explore the profound connection between land, history, and form. Their creations will echo the region’s stratified beauty—from soft tuff stone to golden hues of sunlit valleys—while opening new conversations between contemporary design and ancestral craftsmanship.
More than a residency, this is a pilgrimage into the elemental—where nature and memory converge, and where each object becomes a vessel of cultural resonance.
