Kodai Suga 5 Picks From Philia Collection

Kodai Suga is a Japanese metal artist and sculptor based in Japan, whose practice explores the expressive potential of metal through sculptural forms that balance precision, materiality, and quiet abstraction. After completing his Master’s degree in Arts and Crafts at the Kanazawa College of Art in 2020, he has developed a body of work distinguished by its refined craftsmanship and contemplative approach to form, creating objects that investigate the relationship between structure, light, and spatial perception.

Guided by a deep sensitivity to material and process, Suga transforms metal into sculptural works that evoke both strength and delicacy. His work has been exhibited internationally at leading art and design fairs including TEFAF Maastricht, Treasure House Fair, FAB Paris, Art SG, and ZONAMACO, alongside exhibitions with A Lighthouse called Kanata in Tokyo.
