Atelier Février is a French design studio founded by Florian Pretet and Isha Mukhia Pretet, whose practice explores the intersection of contemporary art, traditional craftsmanship, and textile design. Based between France and Nepal, the studio creates handcrafted rugs that reinterpret drawing, colour, and composition through the ancient art of Tibetan hand-knotting. Each piece begins as a hand-drawn sketch before being meticulously woven by master artisans, transforming artistic expression into timeless collectible works.
Rooted in a deep respect for Nepalese craftsmanship and sustainable production, Atelier Février works exclusively with natural fibres and dyes while embracing a made-to-order philosophy that values intention over excess. Through refined compositions, sculptural silhouettes, and meticulous craftsmanship, the studio creates enduring pieces that celebrate material honesty, artisanal excellence, and the dialogue between contemporary design and ancestral savoir-faire.
