Czech designer Lucie Koldova (born 1983) is internationally recognized for her poetic and emotionally resonant approach to lighting and furniture design. She studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she developed a strong sensitivity to materiality and form. After establishing her early practice in Paris, she returned to the Czech Republic, where her studio continues to produce work that bridges tradition and contemporary expression.

Koldova’s designs are distinguished by an elegant dialogue between glass and complementary materials such as wood, metal, and textiles. Through transparency, reflection, and subtle contrasts of texture, her work explores the relationship between light, space, and human experience. As Art Director of Brokis, Koldova has played a decisive role in shaping a new vision for Czech glassmaking, merging centuries old craftsmanship with innovative technologies and contemporary aesthetics.
