Andrei Clontea is a Luxembourg-Romanian ceramic artist born in Bucharest in 1984. Trained as an architect before dedicating himself fully to ceramics, he has developed a distinctive practice that bridges the structural rigor of architecture with the tactile and expressive qualities of clay. Largely self-taught in the medium, Clontea’s creative journey is marked by a seamless transition from designing spaces to shaping sculptural objects by hand.

Now dividing his time between Luxembourg and Brussels, Clontea specializes in strikingly sculptural works, each piece the result of meticulous craftsmanship and a deeply intuitive approach.
