Umberto Bellardi Ricci is a German-Italian architect, sculptor, and designer based in New York, working at the intersection of architecture, sculpture, and collectible design. After teaching at institutions including the Architectural Association in London and Cornell University, he established his Brooklyn studio in 2019. His practice is rooted in material experimentation, particularly cast concrete, and explores how sculptural forms can reshape our perception of architectural space.

Bellardi Ricci presented his first sculptural furniture collection, Dawn, at Matter gallery in New York in 2021, bringing together industrial steel and aluminium with stone, glass, and textiles. His work reflects the architectural language of New York, translating its verticality and rhythm into sculptural objects and lighting. Today, his studio works across New York, London, Paris, and Milan, creating collectible furniture, bespoke lighting, objects, and interiors. Through this multidisciplinary practice, Bellardi Ricci continues to blur the boundaries between architecture, sculpture, and design.
