Marcos Altgelt and Tasio Picollo develop pieces through a dialogue between industry and craft, building narratives of territorial identity through material experimentation. The studio’s work oscillates between the development of products for serial production and the making of limited-edition pieces. This wide range of scales calls for different approaches—systematic and precise, intuitive and imperfect—that coexist within a shared language. That language is shaped by the diversity of landscapes, an active observation of the city, direct engagement with materials and local know-how, the reinterpretation of historical references, and the search for value in what often goes unnoticed or forgotten. They have exhibited their work at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), the Biennale Pavilion in São Paulo, and with galleries. Their work has also been featured in major international publications.
