Thibault Philip is a French artist and designer whose practice explores the relationship between material, craft, and the living world. Working at the intersection of design, research, and sculpture, he transforms discarded by-products from the food industry into collectible furniture and objects, challenging conventional notions of value while revealing the overlooked potential of organic materials.
Drawing on traditional craftsmanship alongside material experimentation, Philip develops his own processes to create works distinguished by their tactile presence and sculptural forms. Rooted in both scientific inquiry and artistic exploration, his practice reflects a broader investigation into sustainability, cultural heritage, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world, resulting in objects that are both conceptually driven and materially expressive.
