Born in France in 1996, twin brothers Alexandre and Maxence Roche are interior architects and designers whose practice is deeply rooted in the landscapes of their upbringing. Raised in Le Puy-en-Velay, they draw inspiration from the raw beauty of Haute-Loire. After studying interior architecture and theatrical scenography, they founded their Paris-based studio, ROCHE & FRÈRES.
Their work explores a sensitive dialogue between nature, art, and design, creating furniture and objects that unite elemental materials with refined expression. Contemporary yet grounded in the earth, each piece balances natural forms with the complexity of modern life. Conceived almost as jewels, their designs consider the body, space, and passage of time, while carrying narratives shaped by memory and history. Handcrafted by master artisans across France and Europe, their work celebrates material integrity and craftsmanship, inviting reflection on nature, humanity, and our place within the world.
