Studio Fango is a Colombian design practice founded by designer Francisco Jaramillo, based between Medellín and Barcelona. Established in 2017, the studio explores the relationship between human, object, and context, combining contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship.
Working closely with local artisans, Studio Fango develops collectible furniture rooted in material research and cultural narratives. Its practice is deeply connected to place, often using indigenous and renewable materials—such as the yaré fiber from the Amazon—to create pieces that address environmental and social concerns while preserving traditional knowledge.
Blending artisanal techniques with a contemporary language, the studio produces sculptural works that balance narrative, material integrity, and a strong sense of origin.
