Arno Declercq

Arno Declercq is a Belgian designer and art dealer whose practice explores the intersection of collectible design, architecture, and craftsmanship. Renowned for his monolithic furniture and sculptural interiors, he creates timeless works distinguished by minimalist forms, rich materiality, and a quiet sense of monumentality. Working primarily with natural materials such as wood, leather, stone, and metal, Declercq develops objects that balance functionality with a strong architectural presence.

Raised in a family immersed in art and fashion, Declercq developed an early sensitivity to form, atmosphere, and material. After studying interior design, he founded a gallery dedicated to ethnographic art before establishing his furniture practice in 2017. Drawing inspiration from ancient civilizations, tribal cultures, historic architecture, and the austerity of brutalist structures, his work reinterprets traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. Defined by restrained compositions, tactile surfaces, and enduring proportions, his pieces seek to create spaces of permanence, contemplation, and quiet elegance.
