Antoine Maurice (b. 1992) is a French designer and maker whose work explores the space between functional object and sculpture. Based in the Yvelines region of France, he trained in drawing before specializing in woodworking at La Bonne Graine, the renowned Parisian furniture school. In 2017, he founded his own workshop to develop a personal approach to design rooted in craftsmanship, experimentation, and material sensitivity.
Working primarily with reclaimed French wood, often sourced from old beams and discarded architectural elements, Maurice creates handcrafted furniture and objects distinguished by their sculptural forms, tactile qualities, and quiet sense of permanence. Guided by a commitment to sustainability and thoughtful making, his practice seeks to reveal the beauty of natural materials while blurring the boundaries between art, design, and everyday life.
