Eindhoven-based designer Willem van Hooff (b. 1992) approaches objects as contemporary folklore—vessels, furniture, and structures that reactivate “forgotten” techniques with disarming directness. Following studies at Design Academy Eindhoven, he established a studio committed to raw tactility and archetypal form.
His ceramics and mixed-media works embrace irregularity as a form of truth-telling: seams, textures, and saturated surfaces reveal process as narrative. Gallery and retail presentations consistently frame van Hooff as a modern craftsman expanding the expressive range of utility.
