Pauline Pietri’s practice unfolds at the intersection of drawing, sculpture, design, and craft, where each creation is a dialogue between materials, form, and light. By hand, she sculpts, shapes, and experiments with raw, natural, industrial, and repurposed materials, exploring textures, colors, and shadows to produce objects of delicate and ephemeral beauty. Her work oscillates between individual craftsmanship and collaborative production, allowing her to develop pieces that are both intimate and conceptually rich.

After studying object design at ESDMAA in Auvergne and collaborating with designers in France and abroad—including Studio Khachatryan, Flavien Delbergue, and Marie-Aure Sticker-Metral—Pietri returned to her roots in the Pyrénées. Immersed in the region’s abundant natural materials—wood, clay, wicker, and stone—she deepened her skills through training in basketry, cabinetmaking, woodcarving, and pottery, cultivating a locally grounded, ecologically conscious practice.

Since founding her own design studio in 2022, Pietri’s objects, whether self-produced or crafted with artisans, have been featured in Maison Makeba (Toulouse), The Ode To (Stockholm), Klin d’Oeil (Paris), and exhibited through ephemeral projects with Expérience Collective, Diverse Maison, and Quartier Moderne. She is currently represented by Galerie Philia. Drawing inspiration from her travels and collaborative projects, Pietri continues to expand her creative universe, producing works that are both poetic and rooted in material exploration.
