Pauline Pietri philia

Pauline Pietri works at the intersection of drawing, sculpture, design, and craft, creating objects through an intuitive dialogue between material, form, and light. Hand-sculpting and shaping natural, industrial, and repurposed materials, she explores texture, colour, and shadow to reveal forms of delicate, ephemeral beauty. Her practice moves between individual craftsmanship and collaboration, producing works that are intimate, tactile, and conceptually resonant.

After studying object design at ESDMAA in Auvergne and collaborating with designers across France and abroad, Pietri returned to the Pyrénées, where the region’s wood, clay, wicker, and stone became central to her practice. Through training in basketry, cabinetmaking, woodcarving, and pottery, she developed a locally rooted and ecologically conscious approach. Since founding her studio in 2022, her work has been presented internationally and is represented by Galerie Philia. Inspired by travel, landscape, and collaboration, Pietri continues to expand a poetic practice grounded in material exploration and craftsmanship.
