Mathilde Martin is a French designer based between Paris and Brittany. In 2016, she founded her ceramic studio, where form lies at the very core of her practice. Each piece is conceived as an integral element of an interior, designed to coexist harmoniously within a living space rather than stand apart from it.
Her work is distinguished by balanced, precise symmetries and a refined sense of proportion. The creation of objects capable of structuring and harmonizing space is central to her research. Guided by a deep belief in the transformative power of beauty, Mathilde approaches ceramics as a quiet yet impactful presence within everyday environments.
The studio responds to a wide range of bespoke commissions for both professional and private clients. All pieces are handcrafted in her Brittany workshop using exclusively Burgundy stoneware, selected for its strength and subtle character. While each object is individually hand-shaped, the studio also accommodates larger production runs through the development of molds. Regardless of scale, all stages of production remain rooted in the studio’s French ateliers, ensuring consistency, material integrity, and a sustained commitment to craftsmanship.
