Founded in 2006 by partners Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is an interdisciplinary architectural practice based in Shanghai, operating at the intersection of architecture, design, and critical research. The studio’s expansive international portfolio encompasses master planning, architecture, interior design, installations, furniture, product design, branding, and graphic works, reflecting a holistic and deeply considered approach to the built environment.

With projects spanning multiple continents, Neri&Hu is supported by a multicultural team representing more than thirty languages, reinforcing the practice’s global outlook and its commitment to cross cultural dialogue. This diversity underpins a core vision that integrates overlapping design disciplines to propose new paradigms for contemporary architecture and design.

Shanghai occupies a central role in the practice’s identity. Positioned within the city’s complex cultural, urban, and historical landscape, Neri&Hu draws upon this context as a catalyst for inquiry across scales. Grounded in rigorous research, the studio’s work privileges experience, materiality, detail, form, and light, favoring critical investigation over stylistic repetition. Through this approach, Neri&Hu continues to redefine the boundaries of architectural practice with intellectual clarity and cultural sensitivity.
