Maxime Goléo (b. 1994) is a French designer, cabinetmaker, and sculptor based in Bordeaux, where he creates contemporary furniture in solid wood as unique pieces or limited editions. Working at the crossroads of furniture and sculpture, his practice explores the expressive potential of form, material, and movement.

Deeply inspired by nature, Goléo is interested in notions of tension, articulation, and balance. He deliberately moves away from rigid geometry and rectilinear structures in favor of organic, fluid, and sensuous lines, seeking a refined simplicity that reveals the vitality of wood. Each creation is conceived not only to be used, but to be seen, touched, and felt.

His objects engage the viewer through bold and expressive forms that evoke emotion and invite a multisensory experience, particularly through visual and tactile interaction. Beyond their functional role, Goléo’s works establish a dialogue with the user, examining how objects radiate presence and influence perception and feeling. Through this approach, his furniture becomes a living element within space—an intimate encounter between material, gesture, and the human body.
