Louise Roe

Louise Roe Andersen is a Copenhagen based designer whose practice explores the relationship between form, material, and atmosphere, translating the visual language of her surroundings into refined objects for contemporary living. Since founding her eponymous studio in 2010, she has developed a distinctive body of work encompassing vessels, lighting, ceramics, glass, mirrors, and furniture. Her creations are defined by a sophisticated interplay of simplicity, sculptural presence, and meticulous detail.

With a background in fashion and concept development, Roe approaches design with a heightened sensitivity to materiality, proportion, and craftsmanship. Produced exclusively in Europe by skilled artisans, her work brings together traditional savoir faire and a distinctly contemporary sensibility. Glass, stone, oak, and ceramics are shaped into enduring forms that balance function with poetry. Informed by Art Deco elegance, Brutalist geometry, and Bauhaus restraint, her designs explore light, shadow, and volume, resulting in objects of quiet distinction and lasting sculptural character.
