Kenneth Cobonpue is a Philippine designer internationally recognized for redefining contemporary furniture through the fusion of modern design and traditional craftsmanship. Trained in industrial design at Pratt Institute in New York and further educated in Europe, he returned to Cebu to develop a distinctive practice rooted in the rich artisanal heritage of the Philippines. Working with natural materials such as rattan, bamboo, abaca, and handwoven fibers, Cobonpue transforms vernacular techniques into sculptural furniture and lighting distinguished by their organic forms and refined craftsmanship.
