Pierre Axel Coulibeuf philia

Pierre-Axel Coulibeuf is a French designer whose practice bridges spatial thinking, sculptural expression, and refined craftsmanship. Raised in an environment shaped by both commerce and the arts, he developed an early instinct for drawing and transforming ideas into tangible forms. His studies in landscape design and interior architecture laid the foundation for a practice attentive to proportion, materiality, and the relationship between object and space.

Beginning his career in hospitality design, Coulibeuf later moved to London, where his work with Charles Burnand Gallery deepened his engagement with decoration, materials, and craftsmanship, eventually leading him to design furniture and lighting for the gallery. Now based between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, he creates works distinguished by functional elegance and artistic presence. Presented internationally, from New York and Geneva to Singapore, his predominantly one-of-a-kind pieces embody a quiet commitment to material sophistication, individuality, and enduring design.
