Jérôme Pereira is a French sculptor and designer whose practice draws from geology, archaeology, and traditional craftsmanship. Working across sculptural furniture, lighting, and functional objects, he transforms wood into expressive forms that reveal the material’s intrinsic character. Inspired by the natural world and the passage of time, his work balances organic spontaneity with sculptural precision, creating pieces distinguished by their tactile surfaces, quiet monumentality, and deep material sensitivity.
Guided by an intuitive, process-led approach, Pereira creates timeless works that blur the boundaries between sculpture and design. Since 2013, he has collaborated with textile artist Sylvia Eustache Rools through the duo AWARÉ, developing sculptural objects that combine wood and textile in poetic compositions inspired by geology, archaeology, and the enduring beauty of natural materials.
