Aaron Scott is a Brooklyn-based designer whose sculptural furniture and lighting explore the relationship between art, craftsmanship, and material experimentation. Working primarily with wood, he creates pieces defined by fluid forms, tactile surfaces, and a strong architectural presence, balancing technical precision with an intuitive and highly personal design language.
Originally raised in the forests of Southwest Oregon, Scott studied philosophy and fine art before moving to New York in the late 1990s, where he worked across sculpture, film, writing, and furniture design. Through Aaron Scott Design, he develops collectible works that merge sculptural expression with functionality, often using a meticulous stacked-laminate construction technique that has become central to his practice. His work reflects a deep interest in geometry, movement, perception, and the structural possibilities of wood.
